Tarion Rebrand: Establishing a New Consumer-Friendly Positioning
Challenge
Tarion is an arms-length Ontario government organization that is responsible for administering the New Home Warranties Act. In 2021 and 2022 we created a new brand identity for Tarion to help them establish a new positioning that was both more consumer-centric as well as offering a better description of their role in the new home warranty process. For many years consumers and stakeholders referred to the warranty as the “Tarion Warranty” when in fact it is the builder’s warranty, administered and backed by Tarion.
We also developed an integrated advertising and PR campaign to raise awareness of Tarion with new home purchase intenders and to connect them with the multitude of resources and education that Tarion has available to them.
